The Once Upon a Mattress all company business meeting has been scheduled for Monday, November 7th. It starts at 7:00pm at Tappan. At the meeting we will discuss ads, collect dues, and talk about childcare. After the meeting, the cast will move on to a music rehearsal that will run until 9:30pm. See you there!

Auditions for Once Upon A Mattress will take place Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 at Tappan auditorium from 7:00 - 10:00. Please remember this year you have to attend only one evening. We have divided the evenings according to first initial of last name.

It's time, once again to get ready to learn the lines, sew the costumes and light the lights! This year's show will be "Once Upon a Mattress," and the show dates will be February 3, 4, 9,10 and 11. Come learn about the show, our new director, and connect with old friends at the Fall Meeting on Tuesday, September 27 at the Burns Park School auditorium. Come at 7pm for meet and greet with old and new members and to sign up for cast and crew. The meeting proper will start at 7:30.

Hello, Burns Park Players!

The BPP Spring Membership Meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2010 at 7:30pm in the Burns Park Library. Come reminisce about How to Succeed!

We are seeking nominations for four Board positions. Board members serve a 2-year term which starts on June 1, 2011. All nominations should be submitted to Deb Odom Stern by May 14th, so we can place names on the ballot. Self-nominations are most welcome! Twenty-some years ago, a group of Burns Park Elementary parents decided to put on a show to raise some money. Did no one tell them art is not what you do to raise money? Hello! Who put the non in nonprofit? The arts, that's who. Against all odds, they not only made money, they had so much fun that they have done it every year since.

Even among our area’s embarrassment of riches when it comes to theater, the Burns Park Players stand out—for a number of reasons. An amateur, community theater organization, the quality of the Players annual musical theater shows arguably rival that of professional troupe productions—local or otherwise. And the Players manage this feat despite limiting their membership to residents of the Burns Park School community, as defined by the boundaries of the school’s attendance area.
